Maria Reis Rocha

Hi everyone!
My name's Maria and I'm an Illustrator for almost 10 years.
I'm living in Lisbon but for 17 years I lived outside of Portugal.

In my both artistic and academic training I traveled to Brussels (BA in Arts at the École Européenne II), Milan (Art and Multimedia studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera) and London where I did my MA in Graphic Moving Image at the London College of Communication and then then stayed working for 8 years.

In 2018 I returned to Lisbon, my hometown, to follow my passion for the arts and live closer to my family.
I work mainly on book illustration, fabric patterns, illustrative series and custom projects (watercolour and drawing will always be present in my work).
But I also work in other areas of illustration like music video clips, GIFs and VJ graphics.

I think I'm always in that limbo between illustration and animation (feeling a bit like Carlos) and that's why I'm taking this course =)
