An embroidery enthusiast with a keen interest in various techniques such as ecclesiastical embroidery, ganutell, and cross-stitch. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I began experimenting with these crafts, learning primarily through online tutorials and drawing inspiration from my mother's teachings on ganutell. Over time, I have developed my own unique style and skill set, specializing in the restoration and recreation of religious feast decorations. Notable projects include the meticulous restoration of delicate ganutell bouquets and the recreation of a traditional Maltese "kukkarda" embroidery. Recently, I have expanded my repertoire to include 3D embroidery, culminating in the successful recreation of my band club's logo. My journey in embroidery has been largely self-directed, fueled by a passion for creativity and a desire to preserve cultural heritage through the art of needlework.
