Laurie Castelli

Hello. I am someone with a fairly long background in advertising. I worked in agencies and then as a commercials director. Photography has always been my true passion (particularly portraiture), but a little 'on the side'. I lieved for a while in South America where, for a time I was creative director of a lifestyle magazine, and therefore got to shoot quite a few editorial portraits. However, as I have got older, I am increasingly drawn to the intimacy of portrait photography. I look for simplicity and emotional connection, together with a painterly aesthetic. Hence In have been drawn to Phil's work, and similar influences. I have done some actors' headshots, but I guess I am looking to really craft my voice after all these years.
