Kai Knight

Hi, my name is Kai and I'm an author of Young Adult fantasy novels and spy thrillers. I started writing as a teenager and ever since I've had my head half in the clouds and half in reality. The first novel that inspired me was the Lord of the Rings which my father read out to me when I was a child. Later on, Tamora Pierce and her stories about magic and female knights drew me in. Books inspire me just as much as movies and I always fluctuate between these two worlds of story telling although there is something more cozy and tranquil about sitting on a sofa, reading a book.

I grew up on a Greek island, Hydra, home of many rebel navy captains during the Greek War of Independece. Hydra is a place where legends and historic heroes abound and it is here that my love for a reckless, heroic protagonist was born--a rebel. To this day, ‘Captains’ and 'Commanders' are among my favorite story characters, whether they command the Millennium Falcon, the Black Pearl ... or a Walther PPK.
