I’m a lover of the Humanities with undergraduate studies in German and French. However, I worked for decades in the software industry developing business and technical skills. I retired three years ago.
I’ve returned to what fulfills my soul, and that is learning foreign languages and learning about other cultures. Music and art are very much a part of learning a new language. Art appreciation especially interests me, and I see drawing as away to take all my experiences and create an outward expression of what I feel. It is much more personal than appreciating artists’ works.
English is my native language, but I speak Spanish daily as I am a permanent resident of Spain. I have also been studying Russian for the last 4 years, and now Finnish for one year. I will be spending July 2023 in Saint Petersburg and decided to take the drawing course to draw while I’m there.
