I’m Harleen, an illustrator and storyteller weaving together Desi identity, memory, and resistance. My work lives at the intersection of art and affirmation—where brown girls are seen, celebrated, and held in their full power. Through decolonized artwork and words, I create pieces that challenge inherited silences, honour intergenerational truths, and remind us of our worth outside of patriarchy and imposed standards.
Each illustration is both personal and collective—a love letter to Desi daughters, mothers, and dreamers navigating belonging, beauty, and freedom. My art is not just visual; it’s an act of reclamation, a reminder that we carry every element of nature within us, and that our stories matter.
