I am a Non Formal Education trainer and facilitator with 20+ years of direct involvement in volunteering projects (EVS since it's pilot phase and more recently ESC).
My formal education includes a degree in political science (with a master in international development) and a specialization in e-learning (with a master in Learning design). The two topics combined have had a great impact in orienting me toward topics such as digital literacy and critical thinking that I believe are two key factors in youth participation.
I am quite active locally (my NGO is located in Cagliari (Sardinia), nationally (I’m a founding member of the Replay Network association active in the education and participation areas) and internationally as a member of the International Youth Work Trainers Guild. Through these associations I have many chances to work at projects aiming at making youth more directly involved in civic decision making processes and to gain an overview of the participatory practices at many different scales.
I have developed and managed several training courses in Moodle for different kind of projects under Erasmus+ and other EU funded projects (mostly European Social Fund) aimed at youth workers or at third-country nationals. More recently I have been closely involved in the testing of Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange in the youth field and has obtained the recognition as Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange Facilitator.
I love my family, cats (well, nature in general), sailing, riding my bicycle and my bike, photography and watching movies.
