I recently started exploring watercolors for the first time, together with a group of friends; we meet once or twice a week via Zoom, to paint together. We went through most of the lessons in Rainey’s book Everyday Watercolor, and now we’re exploring other ways of learning more together.

I have had a little bit of instruction in fine arts, and a fair amount of instruction in graphic design, but I have not worked in either of those fields professionally.

I’m interested in both traditional watercolors and using watercolors to create illustrations. I would love to make designs and patterns that could be applied to household or office items to bring people delight in their everyday activities.
