Childhood from ages 0–6 unfolded within a communal life. The endless Desert, with its plants and creatures, first sparked curiosity and later became a compass. Alongside a professional career, swimming, cycling, triathlon, orienteering, volunteering at Permaculture farms, and organizing family camps in nature have all been ways of building a life parallel to the forest. Through the initiative she founded, Children Without Borders, she has, for over 10 years, opened space for children and families to share in exploration, taking on the role of discoverer, mediator, and steward. These days in Köyceğiz, she serves networks that create mindful nature experiences with young people and children, to help remember the cycles of life so that our lands and wetlands may remain as they are a while longer. With groups on Observing, Listening, Swimming, Watercolor Journaling, Breath, and Body Awareness, she works for the rivers to flow freely.🪷
