Hi everybody. My name is Catherine. I live in Italy near Milan.
I love art and living in Italy is an everyday feast for my eyes. Nature and art are are so beautiful and everywhere.
I have always loved drawing, painting and working with my hands. Unfortunately, I stopped practicing for a long time, till I started to reconnect with my childhood passions 5 years ago.
I practice drawing daily, my sketchbook is always in my handbag. I want to improve because I'm aware that my lack of technique is a limit for the realization of my projects and dreams.
I love Renaissance painters who touch me deeply (Piero della Francesca, Mantegna, Giorgione, Raffaello, Tiziano and Leonardo's drawings.
I practice wood carving which I learned by my own and photography.
I play guitar and love all kind of music (progressive rock, Dream Theater, baroque classical music) and cinema (Edgar Wright, horror, Refn, Tarantino..)
I love reading classical novels (Yourcenar, Balzac, Stendhal, esoteric texts) but also comics (Maicol e Mirko, Hugo Pratt, Servais, Milo Manara, Hergé).
I want to learn drawing to be able to translate all my mental sketches, mostly inspired to my dreams and fantasy in a personal book, the narration of my wonder life.
