I've watched Maddy's livestreams on Behance for the past few years and love her digital work. I was happy to hear that she had a course coming out on Domestika. This course does not disappoint! Maddy covers everything from basic gouache painting techniques to illustrating a nature scene in a style reminiscent of Studio Ghibli films. Although I'm experienced with gouache, I still found this course fun and inspiring! I definitely recommend it... especially for those new to this versatile medium!

Decepcionante. No se enseña lo que las imágenes prometen. Los paisajes tienen flores, lo cual ni se toca en el curso. Se enseña a hacer follaje, un tronco, unos pastitos y una planta. Nada que ver con el video promocional. El paisaje que se enseña en el curso, no parece hecho por la misma persona que pintó las imágenes de la promoción, ya que la calidad es bastante más baja. Tampoco se enseña a hacer montañas, cascadas ni los diferentes tipos de agua. No podría llamarse "pintura de paisajes".

I have been painting with gouache for about a year. Watching Maddy's course today has helped fill in some of the gaps I have been missing in my learning process. Especially for foliage brush strokes and also the dry brushing technique. Maddy has many great tips throughout the course that will help you start painting beautiful scenes with gouache, the best way to learn is to paint a lot, and if you enjoyed this course, you would enjoy following Maddy on social media and watching her live streams!
