Julia's class is comprehensive, and I was able to easily follow her instructions. I'm very new to watercoloring so I appreciated the basics, and my project actually looked close to my real grapefruit! It's probably the little tips here and there that have stuck with me the most.

An easy to follow course, full of good tips and well explained. The painting techniques were well demonstrated with the camera over Julia’s shoulder giving you a good insight into holding the brush, what to paint and when and how to apply the paint or use other materials. The style of presentation was refreshing and straightforward with a little humour. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Julia offre une présentation et des explications claires de son travail. Ce cours est très agréable à suivre et on apprend beaucoup. Cependant je regrette un phrasé trop rapide et des sous titres qui ne restent pas suffisamment longtemps pour pouvoir les lire. De plus tous les documents fournis sont en anglais espagnol ou allemand et jamais en français c'est regrettable

Julia Trickey is one of my favorite botanical artists and an excellent teacher. Her presentation is clear and her manner very down to earth and reassuring. Glad I have access to view the segments at my convenience so I can work at my own pace.

Julia is an excellent artist and she shares a lot of resources during the course. However, I missed in the lessons more focus on botanical anatomy and how to approach a subject, that I've seen in other botanical illustration courses. If you are new to this area then the course is good for you, if you know a bit more about botanical art perhaps it is too basic. Having said that, the resource section is very rich.
