Excellent course and would highly recommend it for any beginner!
Liked the course so much and would like her to make another where she could teach us how to include other characters in children books like parents teachers aliens and monsters or perhaps imaginary friends.

Marissa Valdez explains everything in a very clear and concise way. I feel like following this course is a great way to start the monumental task that is creating your own portfolio! It isn't very suitable for experienced illustrators - it is very much a "beginner" course, since it mostly lets you know what agents/publishers expect from a good portfolio. She also shares her thought process behind her illustrations which might help you get the right attention whenever you present your portfolio
This is an absolute beneficial course for creating an illustration portfolio. I believe, illustrators will feel confident and brave enough to submit their portfolios once they complete their portfolio following the pathway Valdez has opened for them, myself included.
