This is a great course. Carne Griffiths gives fascinating background to his work, and takes one step by step through the process of creating a portrait in his style. The portrait is built up in a sensitive way, and I found it a very useful way to free up my painting, enjoying incorporating "happy accidents" into the final piece. It has encouraged me to use inks and teas in future work.

This instructor has an interesting professional artistic background, but more importantly he is a very good teacher. He demonstrates clearly the process he uses for creating beautiful and layered portraits using unusual methods and materials. I learned an enormous amount from this course, and I hope he offers more in the future.

Can take the course anytime of the day. Clear step by step instructions. Unique course. Will take more courses.

El curso me ha gustado mucho, el hombre explica muy bien, lo único es que me parece que debería traducirlo, he tenido que estar viendo cada tema un par de veces, una para ver lo que hacía y la otra para leer el texto. Se que se puede elegir la velocidad a la que habla pero no es cómodo. Pero si recomiendo este curso me gusta mucho como mezcla materiales y el resultado final es espectacular.

I enjoyed this course very much.. It was very well presented and all the techniques demonstrated in a very detailed fashion. I learned new ways of looking at inks and stains as well as gold leaf and floral elements. It is a very interesting style that can really be developed in so many directions. Looking forward to using these new techniques..
