I've never worked with watercolors, but always loved sketching plants, so this was the perfect course for me. Lapin's way of teaching is very effective; I've learned a lot and enjoyed the exercises. I'm not finished taking the course and I'm looking forward to painting with watercolors and using the other materials he suggests which I wouldn't have thought of: color fineliners, gelly roll, colored pencils. The results he gets are fantastic!

So happy to have taken this class that emphasizes a slower pace to allow for more concentration on the smaller, important details of each flower or plant. Lapin is incredibly talented, very patient and a great teacher.

C'est vraiment un excellent professeur. J'ai suivi ses deux cours sur Domestika. Il est clair, pédagogue, compétent. J'aime beaucoup son approche du dessin, les précieux conseils qu'il donne. Et aussi sa personnalité très sympathique, douce et attentive. Je le recommande sans hésitation pour s'initier au dessin à l'aquarelle et à l'encre.

In Botanical Sketchbooking with Lapin he advocates for a meditative style of sketching, his quiet delivery and slow moves support the instruction well. I loved this course and have adopted many of the techniques he teaches. I especially liked his use of a limited pallete.

The course is wonderfully structured, relaxing and stimulating to explore flowers further. The most useful for me was to explore watercolour techniques and learn green colour variations. After completing the sketchbook (final assignment) I feel confident in sketching with liners without any pencil. So really happy that I took the course!

Ottimo corso.

C'est le meilleur cours Domestika que j'ai suivi. Sans prétention, il est abordable pour les débutants. De plus, Lapin nous met à l'aise avec l'aquarelle et le dessin. Dommage qu'en étant français, il ne délivre pas son cours dans cette langue, beaucoup trop absente dans le catalogue Domestika.
