I am a retired Australian Native Plants propagator. We live on 63 acres, mostly remnant forest, but 15 acres or so of house and nursery. As such we have lots of birds, particularly honeyeaters when we were active and had lots more grevilleas in flower. I want to do a journal of some of the birds that have a story associated with them, for a time when we are no longer here, including a painting of them. But I have never been any good at drawing etc. recently I broke y ankle so have been on Facebook, saw this course and enrolled. I am not looking to become an artist, but would like to learn a new skill and try and start my journal. In September I completed Sarah's Artistic Watercolour techniques for illustrating birds. I have started my journal and have 2 birds done, the New Holland Honeyeater and the Scarlet Honeyeater. It will be interesting to see my progression with watercolour as I do more birds.
