Amalia Benson

I live in League City, TX with my husband Arnold. We moved here a year ago from South Padre Island. We have raised 6 girls 4 of which are married. My husband owns a business so he is busy a lot of the time. I am now retired from the government so I have time to explore my desires to learn art. I have not found an artist to inspire me, not yet. I have converted my garage into my shop where I make silver/gold jewelry and I also have converted my media room into a studio/art place. I have made some glass pieces while living in the valley which is what inspired me to take this class. I also enjoy making Gyotaku art from fish. For this art form I have travelled to Japan, Hawaii and Oregon.
