Pamela Morrell

I've been sewing since I could hold a needle and initially learned by sitting with my great grandmother. Embroidery and garment sewing were my happy place growing up and I made most of my own clothes. I studied fashion design and took a class in hand stitchery techniques from a wonderful Hungarian teacher. It's been a few years since I embroidered but I'm retired now and volunteering with a group of teen mothers at the government orphanage/shelter. The girls are learning to cross stitch and beginning to create their own designs, but they want to learn embroidery next so I'm taking this course to learn about traditional Mexican embroidery and pass on what I learn to the girls.
