I started my creative journey collecting shells on a beach and going home to draw them to remember that wonderful day. I wrote poetry about my trips and occasional stories of pirate coves discovered by nosey children bored during the long summer holidays. I won a few prizes art school for my art and stories. Then moved onto to gratuate as a graphic designer working in London agencies. Children and a divorce later I picked up my artistic thread and begn drawing again.

Deciding to retrain myself as a surface designer I was inspired by Bonnie Christine to complete her course and found it transformed my wish to a potential reality. As I progess with five friends who also did the course I am now expanding my art to sell online to stablise my finances. I wish to sell what I love drawing. I am editing a book about water fairy adventures and dream of illustrating it once my creative voice is strong. I believe I am getting there after a summer enjoying a 30 day doodle-a-day challenge through the summer where I created over 90 drawings. So far my illustrations are of flora and bugs who fascinate me.

My inspiration so far is directly from the shapes nature in my Essex garden has offered to me, so now I absorb rather than look. My excitement for the natural world around me has inspired my partner to take a closer look. So we go out for walks and take photos of the stunning curves and spikes that nature develops with such flair.
