I generally approach Art/Craft from an environmental mindset, which boils down to answering two questions: what materials so I have on hand that I can reuse, and how can I minimize the amount of resources and energy needed for this project? I also tend to focus my creative interests on creating objects that I would otherwise purchase new (or even at a thrift store) for myself. From the outside, these criteria may seem to narrow creative choices drastically, but I have found a lot of freedom working on projects that are a success based on the process rather than the object produced.
