Retired IT person. Got interested in art some (7 or 8?) years ago. Have tried all modes (sketching, drawing, painting) & mediums (acrylic, water mixable oils, markers, water colors, gouache, colored pencils, pastels, oil pastel crayons, wax artist crayons, inkTense, charcoal, Procreate/iPAD ... just a ridiculous lack of focus, but fun). Taken many classes. Not good at any ... but A) once in a while success B) I usually enjoy the process ... although, at times - after overworking it - disappointed at the large effort vs poor artistic payoff C) Regardless, my 'art' usually provides nice memories.
