I live in Quebec, Canada. I am an author and I have taught creative writing courses for a long time. In addition to numerous short stories, I have published three volumes of a historical novel set in Japan in the 1060s. I have been doing martial arts since 1987. I have had a partner since 1988, who is also my Ninjutsu teacher. . We have a dog. That's my quick presentation. I started watercoloring in February 2020 and I did research on the internet, tutorials and lots of exciting discoveries. I then reproduced photos and watercolors, but it was only “as is”. I couldn't interpret what I was seeing. One day, on YouTube, I was stunned by a creation by Rémy Lach. When he talks about a captivating watercolor, it really conveys what I felt at that moment. I took several classes with him. It was then that I discovered the magic of the diffusion of pigments in water. I wanted to go further in letting go. I admired internationally renowned watercolorists, such as Joseph Zbukvic, Alvaro Castagnet, Chien Chung Wei and Thomas Schaller. I signed up for Tom's Fine art Mentorship course, and I love what I discover. I progressed with working from humidity to humidity. With the Terracotta family, I received an invitation to Reha Sakar’s course. I didn't immediately make the connection with Wardancer, whose magnificent watercolors I admired. I signed up for this course, and magically, I finally understood letting go. I was able to create my first watercolor according to the criteria I had given myself when I embarked on this wonderful watercolor journey. When I saw that Domestika was offering a course with Reha Sakar, I didn’t hesitate for a single moment.
