Dario Tubiana is an Italian knitwear designer.
He won the Roberto Collina scholarship which allowed him to graduate from the Creative Knitwear Design master of creative knitwear at the Academy of Costume and Fashion in Rome and Modateca Deanna.
In January 2019, thanks to the collaboration with the Academy of Costume and Fashion of Rome and Modateca Deanna, he participated in Pitti Filati where he had the opportunity to show two capsule collections and exhibit them for the duration of the event.
Since 2015 he has collaborated as a knitwear designer with UK magazines such as “The Knitter Magazine” and “Simply Knitting” for which he took care of the creation of the garment, the drafting of the pattern and the development of sizes.
He also collaborates with international wool and knitting brands such as mYak, Sheepjees, LangYarn, Katia, Mez Cucirini Italy and Prym.
He worked as a Knitwear designer at United Colors of Benetton.
As a teacher he has taught at various fairs such as Knit Italia and Lugano Creative in 2020, and collaborates with several yarn shops where he teaches technique courses.
He is currently a lecturer at the IED in Milan, European Institute of Design, where he teaches knitting techniques and embroidery techniques.
All his works are handmade and created using different techniques, from flat work to round work, without seams.
