Colin Burton

I have been painting casually for many years but have had no formal training. I am now retired and want to take my art more seriously. Many years ago I trained as an engineer and draughtsman and did 10 years at sea. I now live by the coast and my favourite subjects are seascapes and ships/ boats/yachts, but I also like industrial landscape. I have recently been exploring watercolour pencils, as well as dabbling with Acrylics and even oils. My goal is to be more expressionistic and less of an Engineer colouring in a detailed drawing.
