Yukimi Song

Hi, I’m Yukimi Song—a pianist, educator, and podcast producer committed to reimagining classical music as a living, evolving force for connection and change.

For over two decades, I’ve performed on stages across the U.S. and Japan, taught hundreds of students through my award-winning Brooklyn-based piano studio, and built The Piano Pod—a globally recognized podcast that sparks honest conversations with artists, educators, and innovators about the future of music. The show has reached over 350,000 downloads and has been featured by major media outlets like Yahoo Finance, AP News, and Business Insider.

At the heart of everything I do is a belief in the power of storytelling through sound. Whether mentoring students, interviewing visionaries, or performing, I’m driven by the desire to connect—across cultures, disciplines, and generations.

My next chapter is guided by a deeply personal North Star: to tell the underrepresented story of Zainichi Koreans—ethnic Koreans born and raised in Japan—through music. This project, still in its early stages, will weave together performance, documentary, and historical reflection to explore identity, resilience, and healing. I believe music can bear witness to what words alone cannot—and open doors for collective transformation.

I’m here to collaborate, learn, challenge assumptions, and keep classical music radically human.
