Sophie

I am an art historian, archivist and documentarian focusing on intangible cultural heritage. I am the founder of Real Lives Multicultural Association and together with my partner, I have been on an expedition through Europe since 2020. Discovering rural cultures, alternative ways of life and traditional knowledge where it is still lived is part of my daily life. I am very connected to nature through my upbringing. Spending weekends and summers in the countryside, I absorbed my parent's knowledge about growing fruits and vegetables and foraging for wild plants and mushrooms. Spending time in the kitchen while my mother was cooking the most delicious dishes for the family, or making jams and thick, golden juices for winter was always a welcome pastime, never a chore. Now as an adult, I am very aware of the fact, that what they so casually taught me through example, is the most significant gift, more precious than any school education.
