My creative practice incorporates, drawing, painting, collage, mask making and writing. Following a brain scan I used the MRI images in investigate neural pathways, lines to me, which in the right environment can adapt to new functions. This has taken led me to research how flora and fauna adapt from one hemisphere to another and the impact this has on the native environments.
I am also fascinated but text, font, language and neon lights. Inner Melbourne has a 1930’s early Neon Sign in Abbotsford affectionately called ‘Little Audrey’ The Skipping Girl Vinegar sign. It was designed by Jim Minogue. This is one of Melbourne’s most loved and iconic pieces of signage. I have worked on a number of projects inspired by ‘Little Audrey’. This is an ongoing series.
I have worked as an Artist in Residence, run Workshops and am part of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Radiation Mask Therapy Team. The Team received the 2019 Victorian Minister for Health Award for Innovation.
I want to improve my illustration skills and hope to be able to illustrate my own work.
I practice from my studio in Richmond assisted by my Labrador Gordon.
