Sunya Madrigal

Sunya Madrigal es cineasta y realizadora de arte híbrido, con obras proyectadas en 14 países. Sunya es Maestra en Filosofía de la Cultura y Licenciada en medios de comunicación.
Ganadora en MPIFF Mexico Prague International Film Festival con el trabajo de cine híbrido "Dimensión Cero"; galardón a Mejor cortometraje experimental en Andromeda Film Festival -Turquía- y seleccionada en el FICM con el cortometraje experimental “Habitar"; proyecto acredor a la beca AcompañArte. Fue parte de Talents Guadalajara en el FICG 36 dentro del Directors Studio; finalista en FICMA, MIC MX y SHORTS MÉXICO, seleccionada en Ambulante Pulsos Michoacán con dos trabajos colectivos y uno personal. Su documental "Otoño Verde" sobre derechos sexuales y reproductivos se ha proyectado por todo el país en Mic Género, en Cinetekton, en Festival RESISTIMOS y diversos espacios culturales.

Ha sido directora de licenciaturas en producción audiovisual y arte digital, docente y tallerista en diversidades universidades de Michoacán y México. Es fundadora y curadora de "Divergentes Arte y Cine" festival sobre cine y creación artística con perspectiva de género; y coordina el estudio creativo de cine y arte híbrido GRUPO RATIO FILMS desde 2015.

​Sunya Madrigal is a filmmaker and hybrid art director, with works screened in 14 countries. Sunya has a Master in Philosophy of Culture and a degree in media.
Winner at MPIFF Mexico Prague International Film Festival with the hybrid film work "Dimension Zero"; award for Best Experimental Short Film at the Andromeda Film Festival -Turkey- and selected at the FICM with the experimental short film “Habitar"; a project eligible for the AcompañArte scholarship. She was part of Talents Guadalajara at the FICG 36 within the Directors Studio; a finalist at FICMA, MIC MX, and SHORTS MÉXICO, selected at Ambulante Pulsos Michoacán with two collective works and one Her documentary "Otoño Verde" on sexual and reproductive rights has been screened throughout the country at Mic Género, Cinetekton, RESISTIMOS Festival and various cultural spaces.

She has been the director of degrees in audiovisual production and digital art, a teacher, and a workshop leader at multiple universities in Michoacán and Mexico. She is the founder and curator of Divergentes Arte y Cine, a festival about cinema and artistic creation with a gender perspective, and has coordinated the creative hybrid film and art studio GRUPO RATIO FILMS since 2015.
