Hello, my name is Sofia Gonzalez from Mexico. I am a passionate and food lover. I really appreciate how food can tell a story, how ingredients are the protagonists of the dishes and how people can get together thanks to a great meal. I`ve been always been amazed on how a restaurant operates, how vibrant and energetic the people at restaurants are and the greatness in the food they can deliver. I just think food is part of our history as humans and we can tell so many things through it.
I am a food lover, a recipe nerd and a cooking book reader. I often find myself reading, researching about food and of course cooking and testing recipes. I enjoy everything that is related about food and I could talk about it all day. I studied a degree in Gastronomy/Culinary arts with Le Cordon Bleu School in Mexico and have been learning different topics related to food, kitchen, restaurant management, nutrition, culinary techniques, marketing, business, etc. I did a 6 months stage at the restaurant Core by Clare Smyth in London last July 2021. Also, I developed my own home based personal brand business for 2 years where I focused on selling desserts in the city where I currently live.
I am a passionate and hard worker in learning and giving the best results in what I perform. Also, I am very social and have great skills with people and consider myself very good at customer service. I really enjoy working with a team and having big projects to work on. I ́m great at digital work such as social media, writing and developing recipes and having creative ideas to present them.
I would love to emerge myself in the future in writing and developing cook books because I believe I could be very happy and give my best to it. I see myself as a recipe developer, chef, cooking book designer/editor and food stylist. I know that working in an environment that an editorial, restaurant, food magazine or food blog can provide, would make me very happy.
