I ve always loved painting and arts and crafts since I am a child , and even though I have stopped many times fir long period of time , I always feel that it’s my thing and that I will always turn to creative activities when I have more time . But it seems that , just as you said I procrastinate, not knowing exactly what subject /style to do I am attracted to many different kinds of approaches and when I finally get going , I feel a bit frustrated as I feel I keep staying with my style without progress and that I wish to be more free in my expression, with abstract interpretations... but I know and agree with you that it takes work , trying new , experimenting even if the result is awful !!!
