When I finished my degree in Fine Arts (Graphic Design. Grade: A+), I was recommended by my last Graphic Design teacher for working in JazzGroup, a communication agency based in Madrid (with three more headquarters in Spain). I began laying out a magazine for Renault and I ended up directing an amazing and creative team of people. This way I still worked as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator, but I had an executive roll, that I loved too. I was responsible for Renault, Toshiba, Santa&Cole (We got selected by "Premios Visual" Book's design. Sixth Edition), Marcel Cluny (Cosmetics and Jewellery), Grupo 5 (Social and educational services) and several governmental institutions amongst others.
At the same time, I developed my own project creating 'ChiquiOcio', a magazine for families and kids' events in Spain that has a print-run of 20.000 copies. I still work remotely as an Art Director for ChiquiOcio after 4 successful years.
When the recession landed in Spain and the team was disolved, I decided to leave as well and improve my knowledge in arts by studying a masters in Character Animation at the University of the Arts (London). And, this way, I would improve my English as well.
I finished my masters in July 2014, and this is the story of how I found myself looking for a job while I was working as a freelance Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Animator.
