Serhat Caliskan

I am founder, designer and manufacturer of handmade leather goods company GAD. Manufacturing leather products was my greatest passion, during this time he had chance to work with the best leather artisan in Turkey.
After working in different sectors for 10 years, I decided to turn my hobby into a business, and I established GAD in 2019, and opened my atelier in Cappadocia and Kayseri in 2020.
When I decided on to create this new brand GAD, I inspired by Turkey’s charming touristic and historical hub Cappadocia, famed for its distinctive fairy chimneys, rich history (since 12th century BC), beautiful nature and its wild horses. Derived from the Hittite word “Katpatuka,” it is commonly held to mean “Land of Beautiful Horses (Güzel Atlar Diyari)”.
