Saskia ter Welle

Saskia ter Welle, trained in haute couture embroidery techniques at, among others, Ecole Lesage, an embroidery school that is part of CHANEL in Paris, combines her love of design and clothing making with a passion for special, traditional techniques. The first TR Master and TR Supermaster in the Netherlands has gained extensive experience in developing unique 3D patterns for couture clothing.

Under her own name, she presented her first haute couture collection during the Amsterdam Fashion Week January 2017 with the title “Come Fly with Me”. Inspired by travels in Europe and Africa, she creates special designs for women who are looking for a unique outfit for special occasions or representative functions. Modern design and traditional techniques come together for a style that underlines the personality of the wearer.

In 2019 she participated in the Thai International Fashion Week in Bangkok. For this occasion she also dressed the Dutch ambassador and his wife.

Besides her own label, she is the founder of Dutch Couture Academy, where she inspires both amateurs and fashion professionals, and offers fashion education in which creativity and a traditional artisanal way of working are central.
