Bob Bean

Retired in 1996 due to ill health, my job was as an Operational Training Officer with the ambulance service. I am married, and we own one sheltie. My hobbies include music, having played trombone professionally and semi pro with, brass, jazz and dance bands. I also play electronic organ, and have taught both music theory & practical skills for the organ. My garden, which is quite large requires quite a bit of my time, I also enjoy model making, both static and radio controlled aircraft which I enjoy in the evenings and watercolour painting which I continue to try and improve.

I enjoy live music, my dates are quite broad classical through to pop, operas, musicals. It is difficult to choose any one piece as a favourite I have so many. However with artists I enjoy the work of Ashley Jackson, Charles Schulz and Caravaggio. I paint for relaxation and my enjoyment so what I learn is aways a bonus.
