Growing up on a fruit farm at the foot of Bredon Hill in Worcestershire, I spent much of my childhood outdoors, exploring the fields and hedgerows while eating more strawberries than my parents would care to imagine! Today I live close to Rodborough Common in Stroud, which has stunning views across Gloucestershire and is renowned for its wonderful flora and fauna. These two amazing places are close to my heart and, together with my new-found love of gardening, I am very fortunate to have an abundance of inspiration all around me.
Art has been a great love of mine from a very early age and has remained a hobby throughout my life. I really enjoy looking at other art and being creative myself, however I've never reached a stage where I've found my own style or been confident in what I do, which is a frustration for me. Being on furlough leave for 8 months allowed me some time to dedicate to this, but I still feel like I am just at the beginning of a journey. I know what I want to paint now (botanical art mainly), I know what medium I want to work in (watercolours), I have more idea of my colour palette, but I still have yet to define my style & improve my skills.

Artists whose work I admire:
Cicely Mary Barker
Arthur Rackham
Katy Daisy
Brie Harrison
Susie Hamilton Art
Hope Gangloff
