Peter Sylwester

I went straight from art school at RISD (80s) into early mainframe image manipulation for advertising in Boston and San Francisco (90s). My career then transitioned to desktop computing, the internet, and quickly into FutureSplash, Flash, and Flex (00s). I authored a Macromedia Site of the Day, a Flash-based e-commerce site, then all manner of Flash-based games and installations. This transitioned to corporate work in retail e-commerce (Web2.0) and then a design stint in telecommunications learning Android and iOS at the very advent of smartphones. From there I graduated into Data Analytics and then very Big Data. For the most recent decade, I have worked at the Gates Foundation in support of epidemiologists and applied mathematicians modeling strategies for the eradication of disease.

While I have become very adept with JavaScript over the years, I've not had the opportunity to explore its true potentials. I have that opportunity now.
