Katarzyna explains everything so clearly. The additional tips and links were very helpful. This is my first year using watercolour and it is not yet natural for me so I overwork it. I shall keep practicing.
I am delighted that you enjoyed my course, and I really like what you achieved in this painting. The style is so cool! It doesn't look like you were just starting to paint in watercolor, but as if the misty effect was intended.
Here's what you can work on in your next watercolor landscape:
- take some time to observe nature and sketch daily - you'll notice a drastic improvement in the shapes of your trees, even if painted from imagination
- diversify your method for painting leaves in the distance and close-up - they are too similar and it spoils the sense of perspective
- add more branches - some of your trees are a bit too bald

Katarzyna, thank you for taking the time to comment. It is very encouraging.
I shall work on observation and detail. I don't have a lot if spare time but, if I do this exercise again, I will post it.
Looking forward to another course sometime.
