My project for course: Expressive Architectural Sketching with Colored Markers

This was my first sketch and project. Doing this a second time I would not have included a background because it quickly became overwhelming. I started with the brown house and you can really tell how I learned to work with the markers left to right. I tried to modify the dark house to have a bit more light using the white markers. I loved this course and can’t wait to “try again!” Any feedback is welcome 🤗

Teacher PlusYou have done great!! And from what you describe this sketch has also done a wonderful job of giving you some very important insights! And that is exactly how you should see each sketch. A stepping stone to more and more insights and taking these with you into the next one. You would need to leave out the background totally, but it’d help to ‘quiet it down’ and leave out contrasts there. This gives it context and depth (if you leave it and atmospheric light grey…) Well done! And on to the next one!
