This is my first ever architectural sketch. I was hesitant to show it. I'm still having trouble getting away from exact realism drawing. I plan to keep practicing. I would appreciate any constructive comments.
Hi Quwatha!! Don't hesitate, just sketch and post!! That's the very best way forward... I see what you mean with having difficulty to get away from exact. But things will develop. It's hard to break free with the first couple of sketches, but things will gradually become looser once you become more comfortable just sketching out your buildings! One thing I'd like to point out is to try and 'color' with the makers, and not so much, draw your colors with them. That is, if your markers have a broader tip as well. Having more broad strokes tends to even out thes esurfaces more. But all in all this an excellent point to start from!!

Also, my drawing is 8x10", 72 dpi, but it came out so huge in the forum.

Hah, I like it! It's not professional but it's got charm. I especially like the warped proportions. It feels stretchy.
