My project in Sketchbook Landscapes: A Colorful Approach course

Hello!

First of all, I want to express my gratitude for everything I learned in this course. I feel that I have gained a lot of confidence in terms of colour use and freedom of the gesture and for that I thank you kindly!

The landscape I made for the final project is inspired by a photo I took as I was taking a walk in a warm autumn afternoon. Then and there I felt that the yellows and the oranges of the trees and of the sunlight were not an expression of vitality, but actually undertones of some kind of melancholy. Therefore, in my final project, I wanted to have vibrant colours and colder tones side by side in order to try and translate the feeling I had back then.

I know that the landscape I made has its flaws - it lacks dynamism and depth, but I am really glad that I found a way of working with more graphic and free strokes as well as with bold colours that I don't usually venture to use.
