My first concrete coaster project

My wife and I decided to tackle a smaller project first to build our confidence in working with cementitious materials. Fortunately I have some experience with casting silicone molds and created a positive form from wood.
My immediate problem is trying to get consistent results with achieving repeatable sanding results. I have attempted to build some jigs so that I can more easily achieve consistent flat surfaces and thickness.
Does anyone have any input to achieve consistent grinding results when trying to produce volume product that is repeatable?

Teacher Pluscool! nice example and nice coasters.
Let us know how you get that consistent grinding results, we do it by hand.

@en_concreto Thank You, your course information has been very helpful in finding the right materials to get good results. I have uploaded our improved coasters after having adjusted the grinding process with more precise results. This is done by using a concrete rubbing brick with the coaster mounted in a custom jig.
