Niside Panebianco

I am an Italian photographer, currently based in Porto. After some time spent backpacking, I ended up in Portugal, the place that I now call home, regardless of my perpetual wandering. I graduated from ETIC in Lisbon, to then continue my photography studies at London Metropolitan University.

I am a slow-travel enthusiast, because I believe it's the best way to get insights of the local culture, subvert the dominant narratives and question ourselves and our bias. I take life as a journey, where it is not the destination that truly counts, but rather the way we embrace the detours and the unplanned.

Photography is an essential part of my journey, and through my lens I try to frame the deviations I find on my road, to inspire curiosity for the foreign and to engage the eyes on alternative points of view.
