My art is an expression of who I am, my values and my beliefs. I was born and raised in South Africa, lived in Papua New Guinea for a while before moving to Australia.
I love to create art that contains a little bit of magic, fantasy, and mystery. We live in a world low on magic and mystery; therefore, it is necessary to sometimes lose yourself in creating art or own an artwork full of fantasy, dreams, magic and mystery.
I am happiest creating artwork that contains fauna and flora, exotic ladies, my grandchildren and everyday experiences, snapping away with my camera or creating fantasy rings, cloisonne art and other jewellery for someone special!
Currently, I am influenced by Australian wildlife and plants, Aboriginal Dreamtime stories and modern-day artists like Fujiko Rose, Kristen McClarty and Anita West. I aim to make people feel emotion or be happy and inspired every time they look at art!
I want to incorporate botanical prints and oil paint on cotton for future projects and always wanted to do Cyanotype printing. The colours are speaking to my soul and I love the simplicity of the final project.
