Mary Anne Mohanraj

I'm mostly a writer and English professor, but I've recently published a Sri Lankan cookbook, A Feast of Serendib, and I make sweets and soaps that I sell out of my home, Serendib House. So one project I'd like to do is make designs for my business, wrappers that I can put on chocolate bars, for example. I published a small cancer romance (after going through breast cancer treatment), Perennial, which I illustrated with little colored pencil sketches. I've also made a few attempts at illustrations to print on fabric; I'm particularly interested in South Asian folk and fairy tales, and translating those to children's bedding, for example. I have a few early attempts on Spoonflower, a moon moth and some botanicals, but I have a lot to learn!
