Marcella Pera

I am an Italian girl who from elementary school used to play to create animated stories like the Disney ones. I studied at the Roman school of comics many years after graduating for family reasons, in 2019 I completed the three years of training in drawing and comics techniques, but I would like to specialize in 2D animation.
I worked on 4 children's books, two as an author and illustrator, 2 as an illustrator and two comic stories and all the editors appreciated their expressiveness and storytelling in my characters. During the 3 years of school of comics, I also felt a little put aside by some teachers and I saw appreciation in others who had the same level as me. Then when I was a finalist in a competition and I got a special mention in another I said to myself "Find someone who appreciates your work", it's not everyone's chance to win something after so few years of working as a cartoonist. I love writing stories and I like to create atmospheres. My favorite Disney films are "Balto" for the atmosphere and "Oliver & Company" for the characters. For this I chose this course, creating atmospheres for my backgrounds is what I aspire to now.I have always loved to tell something, my idea, my memory, a feeling. Drawing is the means by which I express my story. He is my secret diary, my confidant, thanks to him I find affections and situations that are no longer there and for this I will love him forever.
