I have to thank my 94 year old mom for bringing me to this very exciting creative journey that I’m enjoying so much at the moment. That journey began when I left my job 3 months ago to take her out of a nursing home and care for her myself. Recently we were admiring a beautiful doll outfit my grandmother had crocheted for me when I was a child. Being home bound with my mom and needing an outlet, it seemed natural that I would put my creative efforts in learning how to crochet in homage for my sweet grandmother. It’s been a month since I’ve picked up a crochet hook and I’m amazed at how it disconnects me from the world and gives me such a sense of calm mixed with excitement. This course resonates and inspires me to combine what I will learn here with my crochet projects.
