I am just embarking upon watercolour /painting. I love colour and have spent my spare time over the past couple of years doing quilting for the first time. Before that I was studying Japanese for a few years and it now seems watercolour is to be my next "obsession". I grew up on a farm but have lived in the city since age 17 - in Brisbane and Berkeley, California for 7 years in the 1980's where I learnt medical Spanish and your course is helping me to resuscitate it just a bit while listening to you thankfully with subtitles. I am drawn to landscape and my very first foray into was a scene from walking with my daughter in Sydney Harbour National Park a few weeks ago. It has turned out surprisingly well unlike my second attempt at a scene from my holiday in Kefalonia where the water really is turquoise.
