I am a person that thrives on creativity. I have always been lucky enough to be able to feed my creative desires.

My mother was one of my first creative mentors, she taught me all those "girly" crafts as a young girl and then we shared the art of ceramics during weekly classes. Then during my teens I had a fantastic art teacher that taught me to trust my artistic ability.

I consider myself a craft nerd. When I turn this off, I start to shrivel up.

During my career in IT, I put these things aside because it wasn't considered a quality of an ambitious person. I'm glad that I didn't listen to them 100%. It was during this time that I started to also write children's books. I have never really shown them to many people, but not because I don't think they are good enough.

Now in my 50s, I am no longer in the corporate world. I am extremely lucky to be working in education. I love working with children and this gives me the opportunity to explore my creative side even more. From doing arts and crafts with the students, to just being a little extrovert.
