Kristen Bastis

My mom was a creative person and a maker of things. She taught me to sew, do needlework, and cook and bake. She encouraged me to create in many venues. I took oil painting with an artist who lived up the street for a year or so. Art classes in high school and one at university.
Throughout my life, I would make specific things for people or for myself and have dabbling in a variety of mediums along the way- water color, oils, acrylic, pastels, pen and ink, as well as fabric and stitching. Recently, I started combining acrylics and fabric and stitching while doing workshops with a variety of artists through textileartists.org.

During a break in the workshop schedule, I signed up for 5 classes with Domestika.
My first class was watercolor and architecture.
