I work at the intersection of surreality and everyday life—where the grotesque begins and the human becomes visible. My art grows out of small observations: a gaze that lingers too long, a thought that takes on a life of its own, an object that suddenly seems to know more about us than we do. I draw figures and creatures that appear exaggerated, yet are often more honest than reality itself. They carry our neuroses, our longings, our sense of comedy—slightly distorted, so we can recognize them more clearly.
I believe that humor is a form of protection, and that surreality can sometimes be the most precise expression of truth. I work analog, with paper, lines, colours and canvas. The silence between the strokes matters to me just as much as what becomes visible. Each series is an attempt to grasp the absurdity of modern life—while honoring its beauty at the same time.
